The Holidays

Over Christmas the older boys came over from Adelaide for two weeks, which was quite enjoyable. They arrived the Friday before Christmas, and Jonathon and I picked them up.
On Christmas Day, we had a family over for lunch, and then another family and two people from youth group joined us for dessert. All in all, it was quite a lovely day, ending round about Ten o'clock.
During the period the older brothers were here, we went out quite frequently, doing a wide variety of things, which is always fun.
One memorable event was the trip to Woollongong; The original plan was to go with the some friends to the Jamberoo park. This didn't go so well. To start, we took probably the longest route possible, and when we got there, it was far too cold to make entering worthwhile. Therefore, we decided to drive a little further to Kiama, a much sunnier place.
At Kiama, the entire family managed to get sunburnt, to an incredible degree; I actually got second-degree burns from the sun. The really funny thing was, of course, the older boys didn't get sunburnt until after the beach, when we walked to have a look a lighthouse. As a result, there is a perfect horizontal line going across Nick's leg. The best sock-line I've ever seen.
Anyway, all in all, it was a fun day, and I greatly enjoyed myself. The comments made by some of the people at bowling the next day were also amusing.

After an enjoyable two weeks, the older boys left on Saturday, and since then things have been fairly slow.
