Luke 9:18-22

18. Et factum est cum solus esset orans, erat cum illo discipulis, et interrogavit illos dicens: “Quem me dicunt esse turbae?”

19. At illi reponderunt et dixerunt: “Joannem Baptistam, alii autem Eliam, alii veri: Propheta unus de prioribus surrexit”

20. Dixit autem illis: "Vos autem quem me esse dicitis?" Respondens Pettrus dixit: "Christum Dei."

21. At ille increpans illos praecepit, ne cui dicerunt hoc,

22. dicens: "Oportet Filium hominis multa pati et reprobari a senioribus et principibus sacerdotum et scribis et occidi et tertia die resurgere."

18. And it happened when he was alone praying, his disciples were with him, and he asked them saying: "Whom do the crowds say I am?"

19. And they answered and said: "John the Baptist, however others say Elijah, others say: one prophet from earlier times has risen."

20. However he said to them: Whom however do you say I am?" Peter answered, saying: "Christ God."

21. And he made a noise and ordered them, lest they should say this to anyone,

22. saying: "It is necessary that the Son of Man suffer many things and to be rejected by the older and the chiefs of the priests and the scribes and to be killed and to rise on the third day."
