Psalm 109, Dixit Dominus

Dixit Dominus Dominus meo: “Sede a dextris meis, donec ponam inimicos tuos scabellum pedum tuorum.”
Sceptrum potentiae tuae protendet Dominus ex Sion: “Dominare in medio inimicorum tuorum!
Tecum principatus die ortus tui in splendore sanctitatis: ante luciferum, tamquam rorem, genui te.”
Juravit Dominus et non poenitebit eum: “Tu es sacerdos in aeternum secundum ordinem Melchisedech.”
Dominus a dextris tuis: conteret die irae suae reges.
Judicabit nationes, acervabit cadavera; conteret capita late per terram.
De torrente in via bibet, propterea estollet caput.

The Lord said to my lord: “Sit at my right, until I might put you enemies as the footstool of your feet.”
The Lord will stretch forth the sceptre of your power out of Sion: “That you might rule in the midst of your enemies!
With you is pre-eminence on the day of your rising in the splendour of holiness: just as the dew before the morning star, I have begotten you.
The Lord has sworn and He will not regret it: “You are a priest in eternity according to the order of Melchisedech.”
The Lord is at your right: He will crush kings on the day of His wrath.
He will judge nations, heap bodies, He will crack heads widely through the land.
He will drink from the torrents on the way, wherefore He will lift up His head.
